Ukraine box volume falls 29pc in first 10 months to 395,000 TEU

 Dec.4--UKRAINE's seaports in the first 10 months of the year handled 395,000 TEU, representing a year-on-yer decrease of 29.1 per cent.

 
The total turnover of the nation's ports during the reporting period rose 3.5 per cent year on year to 119.73 million tonnes. 
 
The state controlled port operators handled 41.33 million tons of cargo, while the volume of cargo handled by private operators amounted to 78.39 million tons, reported Bulgaria's Maritime News Journal. 
 
From January-October imports were up 22.4 per cent year on year to 14.99 million tonnes, while exports grew 0.1 per cent to 84.29 million tons, and transit cargo volumes fell 19.3 per cent to 13.86 million tonnes.
