Oct.9--THE US Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker, arrived in Cuba to co-chair a regulatory dialogue with government officials from the long-embargoed Caribbean nation, reports American Shipper.
Ms Pritzker has arrived in Havana and her first stop was to view the Mariel Special Development Zone's container terminal and warehouse operation.
She then talked to Cuban officials. While in the country, she will also meet with Foreign Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez as well at the vice president of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas.
Ms Pritzker's visit to Cuba is the second by a US cabinet official since the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and Cuba on July 20.
