New Zealand lists worlds top 10 box ports and their annual throughputs

   Nov. 6--BASED on 2016 statistics collated by the New Zealand Ministry of Transport, the world's busiest container ports by annual throughput were as follows:

 
  Shanghai with an annual throughput of 37.13 million TEU was in first place. Singapore with an annual volume of 30.9 million TEU was in second place, Shenzhen with 23.97 million TEU a year was in third, Ningbo-Zhoushan in fourth with 21.6 million TEU, and in fifth place was Hong Kong with 19.6 million TEU.
 
  In sixth place comes Busan with 19.45 million TEU, followed by Guangzhou with 18.9 million TEU, Qingdao with 18 million TEU was in eighth place, Jebel Ali, UAE came in ninth, with 15.73 million while Tainjin was 10th with 14.49 million TEU.
