Yusen Logistics Expands Trans-Pacific LCL Services

May.24--Yusen Logistics has expanded its direct less-than-containerload services by adding two new routes to its network, including a twice-weekly service from Shanghai to Los Angeles and a weekly multi-country consolidation service from Singapore to Los Angeles.

The Shanghai Direct LCL Service is the first in Yusen Logistics’ portfolio to feature a twice-weekly sailing schedule. It sails from the Port of Shanghai each Tuesday and Friday and arrives in Los Angeles 13 days later.

For the Singapore Direct LCL Service, cargo is consolidated at Yusen Logistics’ Singapore facility from origins including Laos, Cambodia and Indonesia. The service departs from Singapore with cargo arriving in Los Angeles 20 days later.

In Los Angeles, cargo is deconsolidated at Yusen Logistics’ facility.

“We are currently experiencing a growth in the demand for our LCL services from Asia,” said Joseph Goldman, director of operations of Yusen Logistics’ international division, in a written statement.
